Storytelling at Stonehenge

One of the big events for me this Autumn was to tell an Autumn Equinox story at Stonehenge. I was filled with awe at the prospect of telling stories within the stones, of standing in the footsteps of people who have been celebrating the seasonal festivals there for at least five millenia.

Please, click on Mabon ap Modron to read the story which I told within the stones at Stonehenge.

Storytelling to SHEplc

Another big event for me was to be invited to tell a seasonal story at a networking lunch for business women, SHEplc. I am the first man to be invited to talk at a SHEplc lunch. Fifty of us sat down to a splendid repast in the flamboyant French Dining Room at the illustrious Cliveden Hotel. After lunch, to celebrate the approach of Winter Solstice, I told the tale of Sir Gawain and the Green Night.

Storytelling to Early Years and Primary Children

Last year I felt pointed more and more towards storytelling in schools, pre-schools and children’s centres. Since early summer 2008 I have developed my repertory and done a lot of work with early years and primary age children. Please, let your local school, pre-school or children's centre know of the work I do.

Please, click on Storytelling : Children Schools & Families to see my approach to storytelling with younger children.

Latest Story On My Repertory Page

This is a terrific Russian rite of passage story, The Horse of Power. Please, tell me what the story means for you.

Conference on Storytelling & Psychotherapy, The Quest For Vision

I was one of the speakers at a conference on Saturday 26 September at The Nave, St Paul’s Road, London. As storytelling undergoes resurgence, 'The Quest For Vision' was a conference which brought together storytellers and psychotherapists to explore where the edges of our work meet, through talks, stories, poems and discussion.

I spoke of the power of storytelling to touch the soul and to bring about transformation.
